2020 IAAF World Indoor Championships Goes to Nanjing, ChinaBy Adam Kopet The IAAF voted to award Nanjing, China with the 2020 IAAF World Indoor Championships at this weekend's IAAF Council meeting. The other cities to submit bids were Belgrade, Serbia and Torun, Poland. Nanjing is a city of more than 8 million people. It hosted the 2014 Olympic Youth Games. A new arena will be built at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park for the World Indoor Championships. China's 2017 World shot put champion, Gong Lijiao, took part in the final presentation to the IAAF Council. |
