Universal Sports Presents Exclusive Coverage of 2014 IAAF World Indoor Track & Field Championships from March 7-9

World’s Best Athletes Including Record Holders Ashton Eaton and Jenn Suhr to Compete in Sopot, Poland

LOS ANGELES (March 3, 2014) – Universal Sports Network will present exclusive, multi-platform coverage of the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Track & Field Championships from March 7 - 9 at 8 PM ET daily. In addition, universalsports.com will stream all events LIVE to authenticated users along with posting video highlights and news from the three day event.

Armed with a mix of youth and experience, Team USA will be the nation to beat in Poland and will look for a repeat performance of 2012, where they set the gold medal record with 10 in Istanbul, Turkey. Team USA’s squad is the largest with 48 athletes and features three defending individual gold medalists: Ashton Eaton in the heptathlon, Ryan Whiting in the shot put and Bernard Lagat in the 3000m. World indoor pole vault record-holder Jenn Suhr and young sprinter Marvin Bracy are also strong medal contenders.

With no global outdoor championship this year, the World Indoor Championships is the most important event on the 2014 athletics calendar. Almost 600 athletes from 143 countries will be in Sopot making this year’s Championships one of the largest in the 29-year history of the event.
