Tara Davis-Woodhall won the gold medal in the women's long jump and led a 1-2 finish for the United States at the World Athletics Indoor Championships. Her winning mark was 23-2.50 (7.07m). Davis-Woodhall became the first American female athlete to produce multiple 7-meter efforts in the same indoor series since Brittney Reese achieved the feat to capture the gold medal at World Indoors in 2016 in Portland, Ore. Davis-Woodhall and Reese are two of the eight women in global indoor history with multiple 7-meter jumps in the same competition.
